Show in Brooklyn with a video project, that I need your help with, but its a fun help :)

Dear talented artistic friends & fans,

I am encouraging everyone that comes to our next show (Wed Jan 27th 930 PM @ Public Assembly) to bring along a video recording device of choice (cell phone, iPod, iPhone, etc.) I am aiming for The Light Show’s release to include a music video, or something of that nature, and I thought it could be really cool to have footage from a live show that features your perspective. In return I will be sure to give you a mention and a big thank you in the video credits.

*Before I begin, I just wanted to say that our little project will be done on a much smaller scale and require way less time on your part, then the ones I am about to mention. You can be as “involved” or as “not involved” as you want.

Awesome; I Shot That! was a concert-video (I guess that’s what you’d call it?) created by The Beastie Boys. It had a cool concept, they gave 50 audience members video cameras and asked them to shoot their show at Madison Square Garden in its entirety. There were some pretty hilarious scenes in the movie, as the cameras were not allowed to be shut off at all during the show, so some funny audience conversations were kept, but what was great is that although you didn’t feel like you were “there”, you still felt like you were a part of that concert. Tori Amos and NIN have also started similar collective projects like this, and we know what a big fan of theirs I am. Our project is way less involved. 30 second segments would be great, but there’s no specific limit or minimum. We will look at all the footage sent regardless of how long or short the clips are. Seriously, a small 5 sec could prove to be useful.
